| MLB | Sep 07, 2010 Cleveland Indians vs. Los Angeles Angels |
Los Angeles Angels -121 at 5DIMES |
in 18h |
| Take: (930) LOS ANGELES ANGELS Reason: Last place Cleveland is a long way from home, with the third worst offense in the AL. Erratic Justin Masterson (5-12, 5.01 ERA) is getting too much respect with this betting line. Masterson's start was pushed to Tuesday, as he had to go home to deal with a family matter. This could be Masterson's final start of the season, as the club is mulling moving him to the bullpen to limit his innings count. Trevor Bell of the Angels has been very good, with a 3.63 ERA his last three starts and the Indians haven't seen him in 2010. Play the LA Angels. |

MLB | Sep 06, 2010 Chicago White Sox vs. Detroit Tigers |
Chicago White Sox +113 at 5DIMES |
Won $113 |
| How happy are the White Sox with their pickup of pitcher Edwin Jackson. While they had hoped Jackson would contribute, they didn't anticipate him going 3-0 with a 1.47 ERA in five starts since being shipped over from Arizona on July 30. Jackson will try to extend the White Sox road winning streak to seven today after they swept the Red Sox at Fenway. It was the White Sox first sweep at Fenway since 1991. The Tigers have rebounded nicely at home after a 5-12 stretch at Comerica they have won six of the last seven. Max Scherzer has been very good for the Tigers, going 10-9 with a 3.45 ERA and coming off a great start last time out. The Sox have won four of five at Detroit this year and with their current road winning streak I'm sticking with them here again on Monday. The only thing that kept me from making this a bigger play on Chicago is the recent pitching of Scherzer. | ||

MLB | Sep 06, 2010 Houston Astros vs. Chicago Cubs |
Houston Astros -120 at SPBOOK |
Lost $120.0 |
| It's amazing, but the Astros are one of the hottest teams in the NL, winners of seven of their last 10 games. Additionally, Houston has won 11 of its last 14 games and have the club believing they may have a shot at .500. And it's all because of the pitching staff that has posted a 1.94 ERA over the last 14 games. Redhot Wandy Rodriquez takes to the hill today against the Cubs. Rodriguez is only 11-12 on the season, but he's on a 8-2 run with a 1.65 ERA over his last 13 starts. The Cubbies have played very well also under interim manager Mike Quade. The Cubs are 8-4 under Quade even with the beating they took on Sunday to the Mets, 18-5. Casey Coleman takes to the hill today for Chicago with a 1-1 record and 5.76 ERA. The Astros are 8-4 against Chicago this year, 4-2 at Wrigley. I'm taking the hot Astros and their very confident pitching staff headed by Rodriquez. | ||

NCAA-F | Sep 06, 2010 Maryland vs. Navy |
Total 49 un-115 at BODOG |
Won $100 |
| Local bragging rights on the line here as Maryland and Navy meet in Baltimore today. Maryland was hit hard by the injury bug last year and it resulted in a 2-10 SU and 4-6-1 ATS mark. But this year's version of the Terps returns lots of experience, except at QB. Jamarr Robinson and true freshman Danny O'Brien available will battle for the starting job. Robinson threw for 482 yards, 2 TDs and no picks last fall. No matter who starts at QB, this Maryland team is a ground and pound type of club with a safe passing attack. Navy ran for 272 yards rushing per game last season (4th in the nation) and returns speed all over the backfield, with 7 starters back led by senior QB Ricky Dobbs ( 1,192 yards rushing, 6 TDs, 3 picks and 1,031 passing yards). The defense allowed just 19.4 points per game and has 5 starters back. The Midshipmen were 8-4 under the total last season and don't look for much scoring here. I don't see the Terps getting many points today against a good Navy team while having their hands full with the Midshipmen option. I'm going UNDER here on Monday. | ||
