Los Angeles: V Padilla +146 at 5DIMES |

| Jack's Free Pick Monday: Los Angeles Dodgers +146 I like the price we're getting with Vicente Padilla and the Dodgers Monday. Despite battling injuries all season, the Dodgers are still in the hunt in the NL West. Sure, their chances are slim, but they will continue playing it out until they are mathematically eliminated. Padilla is 6-4 with a 4.08 ERA and 1.077 WHIP this season, and he remains one of the more underrated starters in the league. Padilla is 2-1 with a 3.13 ERA in 9 career starts vs. San Diego, so he has pitched very well against this team. In two starts vs. San Diego in 2010, Padilla has allowed just 2 earned runs and 10 base runners in 13 innings for a 1.38 ERA. He has also struck out 14 Padre batters in those two outings. He'll be up against a San Diego team that is 0-10 in their last 10 games overall. For a team that has lost ten straight games, they have no business being this heavy of a favorite tonight. The clear value is with the road underdog in this one. Take Los Angeles Monday. SOLID 65-45 (59%) Football Run! Jack Jones went 3-1 on the college gridiron over the weekend and cannot wait to cap off Week 1 with another victory! It comes in the form of his 20* Boise/VA Tech ESPN Monday No-Doubt Rout! Boise State Broncos +2-110 at BETUS |
Won $100 |

20* Boise/VA Tech ESPN Monday No-Doubt Rout on Boise State +2 Getting the Broncos as an underdog is an absolute gift from odds makers. Boise State has been the best covering team in college football over the past decade. In just the past 3 years, the Broncos are 17-6 ATS in all lined games. Coming off a 14-0 season, the Broncos return 20 starters with 10 on offense and 10 on defense to try and make a run at a national championship this year. Boise will have to beat Virginia Tech on a neutral site, though clearly the Hokies will have more fans there since it's out in Landover, MD on the East Coast. Boise State is 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games in September. The Broncos didn't really miss a beat on the road last season, going 7-0 while outscoring opponents by 21.7 PPG. Junior QB Kellen Moore is the real deal, going 26-1 as a starter over the past 2 seasons while throwing for 7,022 yards with 64 touchdowns to 13 interceptions. His favorite targets are back in Austin Pettis and Titus Young, who combined for 142 catches and 24 touchdowns last year. Top running back, Jeremy Avery, returns after rushing for 1,151 yards and 6 touchdowns. Certainly the Broncos will put up points, but it's their defense that may get them to a national title game this year. Opponents scored just 17.1 PPG on them a year ago. VA Tech only returns 4 starters defensively and this is their big weak spot this season. Roll with Boise State Monday. |

MLB | Sep 06, 2010 Cincinnati Reds vs. Colorado Rockies |
Colorado Rockies -1½+113 at 5DIMES |
Won $113 |
|
15* MLB Run Line PLAY OF THE DAY on Colorado Rockies -1.5 +113 Colorado is playing great baseball right now, and I'll back them on the Run Line Monday with Ace Ubaldo Jimenez on the bump. The Rockies are 10-4 in their last 14 games overall. Jimenez is 17-6 with a 2.69 ERA and 1.118 WHIP this season for Colorado. He'll be up against Aaron Harang who is on the downside of his career. Harang is just 6-7 with a 4.92 ERA and 1.505 WHIP this season, including 1-3 with a 5.62 ERA and 1.562 WHIP in 6 road starts. Jimenez has never lost to Cincinnati, going 2-0 (4-0 on the money line) in four starts while posting a 2.42 ERA and 1.077 WHIP. Colorado is 13-3 in all meetings with Cincinnati over the last 3 seasons, including 6-1 in their last 7 home meetings. Harang is 1-11 against the money line on the road when the total is 7 to 8.5 over the last 2 seasons, losing by an average of 2.7 RPG. Jimenez is 18-2 against the money line as a home favorite of -150 or more over the last 2 seasons, with the Rockies winning by 3.8 RPG in this spot. Finally, Colorado is 15-1 against the money line at home when the total is 8 to 8.5 this season, winning by 3.0 RPG. Bet the Rockies Monday. |
